Cutting edge bag for cool customers

Biomaster partner B&G Products has developed a new, easily affordable cool bag that prevents the growth of bacteria and will last for years.

The Staffordshire company pioneered the insulated cool bag, designed to help maintain hot food at a good temperature and keep chilled or frozen products cold. It means that by using the insulated bags the chances of altered taste are minimised, keeping products fresh.

The new bag has a special Five Layer Thermal Insulation Film with inbuilt Biomaster antibacterial protection. Studies show that harmful bacteria can survive for up to eight weeks in the lining of a reusable shopping bag.

B&G Commercial Director Peter Ralten explains: “Our new Biomaster protected antibacterial Cool Bag contains technology that helps prevent cross contamination from bacteria such as Campylobacter, e.coli, Salmonella, Listeria, Streptococcus, S.aureus and many more.

Campylobacter is a big concern in the retail world because it is present on the outer packaging of chicken products and can be transferred to bags when carrying the products home. People can get ill and often cannot name the source. At B&G we can now help to protect and eliminate one source.”

The stylish new insulated bags also have a fresh, newly updated design and feature a unique comfort clip close handle, also designed by B&G.

Addmaster (UK) Ltd. Marketing Manager Karl Shaw adds: “The increased use of reusable bags since the introduction of the 5p bag tax increases the risk of shoppers being exposed to pathogenic bacteria, so we welcome this addition to the range of Biomaster protected shopping bags now available”.

The new cool bags will soon be on sale at two major retailers in the UK.
